Michael Quiel, a managing partner at Legend Asset Opportunity Master Fund, has 23 years of experience in investments, brokerage, and hedge funds. Additionally, he heads Legend Advisory Corporation as the company’s president and owner, managing company operations like monitoring portfolio risks and creating investment strategies. In addition to his professional life, Michael Quiel is a regular donor to the Rypien Foundation, to which he has given more than $2 million in assets.

The Rypien Foundation was set up in 1998 by former Washington Redskins quarterback Mark Rypien after he lost his son to cancer. The foundation seeks to help families through the struggle that follows a childhood cancer diagnosis, providing resources for those residing in the Inland Pacific Northwest.

Through events like the Zak!Charity Open, millions of dollars in funds for charities like the Rypien Foundation have been raised in the 16 years it has been happening. Mark Rypien hosts the event, which features a golf tournament at Spokane Country Club, a dinner and auction. Sponsors can enjoy a pair of golf days at two high-end courses, a barbecue, and a VIP reception, in addition to lodging and transportation.
