Blog Shares Wish Stories from Make-A-Wish Foundation

A financial professional with over 20 years of experience in the brokerage industry, Michael Quiel currently serves as the president of Legend Advisory Corporation. Committed to philanthropic efforts, Michael Quiel supports non-profit organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation dedicates its efforts to making the wishes of children with cancer come true. Having discovered the health-related impact of a child’s wish, which often serves as a turning point in a child’s recovery, the foundation grants a child’s wish approximately every 38 minutes. Through its blog, known as Wish Nation, the organization shares stories from children whose lives it has changed for the better.

A recent story on Wish Nation comes from Hannah, a former patient who has gone almost six years without cancer treatments and spoken at Make-A-Wish events. She was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia when she was 4 years old. The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted her wish to meet Miranda Cosgrove on the set of the popular show iCarly, and Hannah decided she wanted to become an actress. Less than two years later, she obtained her first role as an actress and has gone on to play a variety of parts.
