As managing principal and director of Legend Advisory Corporation in Fountain Hills, Arizona, Michael Quiel assists with corporate formation and deals with more than $200 million in equity. When not in the office, Michael Quiel supports several local nonprofit organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Arizona chapter.

The founding chapter of the entire organization, the Make-A-Wish Arizona grants wishes for children who have life-threatening medical conditions. Established in 1980, the Arizona chapter has evolved to include volunteers, donors, and families who have helped grant almost 5,000 wishes since its inception. In 2014 alone, the chapter granted 330 wishes.

One of the fundraising events for the Arizona chapter is its Wish Ball. The 2016 event, scheduled for April 2 at The Phoenician in Scottsdale, celebrates 36 years of granting wishes. The Wishes Are Forever ball includes a silent and live auction as well as a chance to hear first-hand how the wishes affect children and their families. The charity aims to make 365 wishes come true each year, and Make-A-Wish Arizona uses money from the ball to support this goal.
